This week, I visited Mauldin Elementary School, and I saw Kaylie working with her little kindergartners in the hall. They were playing a type of "bingo" with dominoes while counting dots. Fun stuff! I also sang and danced with her class for morning warm-up exercises.
I had a great time visiting Hannah in her third grade class. I also watched Kate teach her second grade class "greater than" and "less than." HOWEVER, my silly camera gave out on me, so my pictures didn't turn out. You all did a GREAT job.
I visited Langston Charter with hopes to see Dakota in action. Instead, Mrs Weeks gave me a wonderful tour of the school. By the time we finished, so was Dakota, so we will try again soon!
I'm looking forward to middle school next week!

That sounds like y'all had such a great time!
The best experience for this week was definately getting to go on a field trip with my seventh graders. We went and saw the Hunger Games and practiced etiquette.
As for the worst experience reviewing with the students on Friday morning for their test was difficult. Hardly anyone showed up to the review, and they all had Spring Break on their minds.
My best experience this week was definitely when I got to start teaching!! It was a lot of fun and all the kids were really excited and involved and they all wanted a turn at the promethean board!
For my worst experience, it would have to be getting sick. Of course it would happen on the day Mrs. Turner visited but luckily I was all better the next day.
Sarah- The Hunger Games etiquette field trip sounds like a lot of fun!! I hope you enjoyed the movie, I have yet to see it, and getting to hang out with your class.

My best experience was graduation picture day. I got to know all the studnts better and they look soooo cute in their caps and gowns:)
My worst experience was Friday because I tried teaching calendar and they wouldnt listen at all because they were too excited and hyper about Spring Break.
Sarah: your so lucky that you got to see the Hunger Games for free haha and I wish I could go on a field trip like that with my kids
My best experience this week was getting to spend extra time with my class and going to their "extra recess" that they earned! It was fun to see all the kids outside of the classroom where their true personalities came out! :)
The worst part of this week was I just felt so tired the whole time! I think it was allergies getting to me, but it made everything less enjoyable than it should've been.
Courtney! That's so much fun!! The scary part is that will be all of us in a few weeks!! :/ ahhhhh!!

The best experience for the week was getting to lead morning work, which includes some math problems and correcting sentences. I also got to pull up the Promethean version of Every Day Calendar Math for the class. They were able to come up and get involved! They were amazed by this :)
This week one of the boys decided to bully a k-5 student. I got to see how teachers handle situations like this with young kids. I never would have expected for something like this to happen in a second grade class!
Sarah, I am soo jealous! That sounds like an awesome field trip!
Kate, I know exactly how it is with all the students wanting a turn writing on the promethean board!

This third week of field experience I would have to say that my favorite part of this week was the Boosterthon Fun Run. For several weeks the students are Mauldin Elementary were getting pledges for the race to earn money for their school. Wednesday was the race and the kids had a ball as they ran their laps to the music.
I think the worst or saddest part of the week was Friday. One of Mrs. Lide's students was moving back to Flordia and Friday was his last day. I wish I was able to get to know him better like I did some of the other students.
Beth- I'm glad you got to get in front of the classroom. I hope it was fun and I know that kids love it!

Hannah that Boosterthon run was so much fun! It was definitely my favorite part of the week. I felt bad for Mrs. Smith because she had to deal with the hyper children after, but I had a good time while it lasted! I missed all of you so much, but I can't wait to see all of you on Tuesday!!
Awww soooo cute Kaylie!!!
My best experience this week was on my brithday my third graders were running in the fundraiser at Mauldin Elementary and every time they ran they said "Happy Birthday Miss. Kelsey" It was sooo cute!!! Also it was one of my third graders birthday too! Jordan brought in cupcakes! They were SO good!!!
-Sarah im so jealous of your field trip!
