Hey girls! This week I found out 2 little ones in my class are twins, coffee has a reverse effect on kids with ADHD, and I also got a gift...used lipstick from a little fellow!
Love, Jessica :)
This week, a girl in my class drew me two pictures. It made me happy because she doesn't even know me really, but still likes me enough to draw me pictures :) Oh, and she spelled my last name Waldz. She's adorable :)

This week, I have been asked a million questions about Mauldin and if I know this and that person by my students. I was also able to talk to them about how the rest of the years go in high schol since they are freshmen and have no clue what to expect in the years to come. Its been a fun expirience so far and I'm excited to get more involved in the class.

Hey y'all, this week has been so much fun! All of my sixth graders are so interested in high school and keep asking me questions about "things" they have heard. We played the name game and I'm really excited to get to know them all!
-Ashlyn :)
My week has been great! The students in my class have been learning about geometry and multiplication. I forgot how challenging third grade math is! I already love my class. On only the second day I left the kids were lining up to give me hugs on my way out. Hope your sites are going well!

I love my third grade class already. There is a girl in my class who brought me a muffin for breakfast on friday. The kids are amazing and really well behaved. I got to grade their end of the week morinig work tests and it was reall cool to see how much they know.

Second grade has been so much fun at MES! We are learning basic measuring skills in math class. I think it's really cute when some of the kids ask me for help, even though it's obvious that they know what they're doing, just because they want to talk to me. I love my class!

Hey ladiesss! I absolutely love Hope Academy. The class I am in is so loving and like one big family. They always welcome me with hugs and it is so cute when they call me Miss Katie. There is one little boy in there named Jack and they have to present their daily journal everyday, and one day the topic was what would you do if you were prinicipal. He said he would build a gym so there could be school dances and you could find who you are supposed to fall in love with. So adorable!
Lovee, Katie
Hey yall! Kindergarten as MES is so much fun and so unpredictable! On my first day I was welcomed by a particular boy by throwing up all over himself and a few of the students during carpet time! Later on in the week one of the little girls told me she was scared of me because I'm white and she thinks that white people stab black people. The experiences were so funny I love my class so much!

Hey girls! I never thought I'd be at Hillcrest High, but it's been an amazing experience so far and it's only been a week. I couldn't see myself in any other classroom. The kids are so amazing, Ive learned so much from them in the past week. Someone at Hillcrest set off a firecracker in the commons area Friday morning, so that was a big topic in the class. Pretty scary!!! But I really am so excited about being in ms. Owen's class! She has such passion for what she does:)

Hey everyone! I love my class! So far I have gotten to play the name game, grade papers, go over homework answers, and even do interactive things on the board! Even though my class is all 8th graders, when I talk they give me respect.... I was worried about that. :) I can't wait to see what next week brings!

Hey ladies! This week Ms. Quinn let Allison and I teach math groups completely on our own. It was a little scary at first but also so much fun! All of your little buddies are asking about you and cannot wait until our next visit!
Love, Meghan (:
Hey! This week in my class, I got to see one of the kids again that was in my class at Hope that I went to during Service Learning and she was the reason that I wanted to become a teacher. Also, on the third day I was there my teacher told me the kids were asking where is Caitlan, we like her.
-Caitlan
Ahh! I can already see how much fun this is going to be! This week I was amazed at how attached little kids can become as soon as they know your name. My favorite part of my first week was the little girls telling me how pretty I was and then coming dressed like I was the next day. I can not wait to get to know these kids even more over the next two months.
Hey yall!! This week has been so exciting! (: My Teacher is absolutly amazing and my kids are so cute!! One little girl asked me if I could stay at school for 16 hours!! I told her i didnt really want to eat dinner at the Elementary school but thanked her for the invite :) haha 3rd graders are just adorable.

This week, we celebrated THREE birthdays, EJ lost his tooth during calendar time, and we had picture day! I'm in love with every single one of my little friends.
Love, Maddy
This week was better than the last! I feel like I'm really starting to bond with my class. we are almost done with a full unit of factoring and it is a really fulfilling feeling knowing that I had a part in their learning. Mrs. Turner came by this week and got to watch me in the classroom. At first I was nervous, but then I got back in the groove of things and everything worked out. Can't wait to see what next week brings!
Oh I forgot... the previous comment was from Stephanie :)
I am so glad I got to work with Mrs. Foster, she is great and so willing to help and make me feel comfortable! This week I got to know my kids and I was bombarded with a million questions after they learned I was in high school. They are all so sweet and cheerful and I can't wait to see what they have in store for me!
