Best Experience:
I got to teach my first lesson!! It was so exciting! They were so sweet in being quite for me and helping me if i messed up! I really enjoyed it!
Worst Experience:
I did not have a really bad experience except one day I sat there and did absolutely nothing. I was really bored!

My best experiences was teaching a review game for my class...i think they really liked it! my worst experience was probably grading a few of the tests that werent the best grades in the world, but thats okay!

This week was a lot of fun! I finally got to get more involved with the students. Some of the students that are a little behind everyone else in the class go to this teacher they call the "Interventionist." She works with them one on one to help them get up to speed. This week I got to help her with the students she has in my class. It's really cool to see how she gets things to click with the students.

I completely agree Karli! That is the worst thing ever to sit there and not be able to do anything! After calendar the students do independent activites so I just stand there waiting for someone to as a question! :-)

My best experience this week was helping out more in the classroom. I got to organize class activities and work one-on-one with some of the kids. My worst experience was probably when they did MAP testing for one day. I just had to sit and watch them while they took the test. I'm looking forward to teaching my lesson this week!

Courtney: I'm glad you got to work with the kids more! Sounds like you have a great class to work with!

Best Experience: Well this week has been fun but the best experience happened on Friday. The class was creating sunflowers through "tear art" (no scissors allowed). Some students found it difficult to continue if their flower didn't look perfect. Tori, a very sweet little girl, said, " Mine's not perfect, but I'm still proud of it! Nobody's perfect...Even the fifth graders upstairs." How cute!! :)
Worst Experience: Well...Monday marked my first experience with projectile vomit. That was really fun. Seeing as the teacher and aid were just outside the classroom dealing with pictures, I had to think on my feet on how to deal with the sick child and the other gawking students. :)

Mackenzie: MAP testing was weird

Best: Possibly teaching a little mini-lesson (notice the emphasis on how small it was... more like a presentation). I introduced the students to Rubaiyat poetry (yes Taylor....) and they liked my original poem better than Fitzgerald's translation of Omar's xDD I lurvez dem kids

Worst: MAP testing was awkward. I didn't get to sit and watch them, although I was able to help Mrs. Osteen out and actually sit in her room alone as I created the vocab test

Hmm that wasn't so bad. Like I said, just a bit awkward. It was a good week xD

Best Experience:
My best experience this week was reading a story to a group of students, both from my class and another class, who can't read well. They were very attentive and really enjoyed me reading them the story.

Worst Experience:
My worst experience was also with the goroup of studnets I read to. On Friday the first graders had MAP tesing. Students that can't read well have the test read to them. Students who are good readers take the test by themselves. The students who are not good readers do the test a different day, so I had a group of students who aren't good readers on Friday for calendar math. The kids were talking a ton and really getting on each other's nerves. I felt all I was saying was please be quite or pay attention.

Mackenzie~
Good luck on teaching your lesson! I'm excited to hear how it goes and how the kids like it!

My third week was pretty good. I did a lot of grading and designing flipcharts for future lessons.

My best experience would probably be when I was working on grading the tests from last Friday. My class seemed to have done better than all the other classes! This really made me feel much better after grading some of their previous tests and quizzes.

My worst experience (if you can call it that) would probably have been Wednesday. Nothing really happened I just had an off day. I couldn't concentrate on anything and I was only able to grade the tests for one class the entire period.

I'm glad your first lesson went good Karli! I think I am doing mine later this week.

My best experience was being able to help with the different lessons and being able to read to the kids. Another thing I was able to enjoy this week was getting to go to their school play, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, on Thursday night and getting to see some of my students get to act in it. It was really cute!
I didn't really have too bad of an experience except one day I was in the room by myself for a couple minutes and no matter what I did I could not get them to quiet down. I did eventually but not til after a few tries.
Courtney- It's cool how you got to go in with the "interventionist" and see how she helps the students get things. We have intervention at our school too and it's neat to see what they do there.

I would have to say my best experience this week was being very successful with the calender!! I took a longer time this time and asked more questions! They were very eager to answer and listened very well!
My worst experience this week was getting sick! Yuck!

Best Experience: I got to do circle time a lot which I liked, but I really enjoyed working one-on-one with the kids. They really appreciated the extra help and it was great to get to know them better.

Worst Experience: I had to cut out a bunch of flowers and laminate them but the machine wasn't working well so it took me like 3 tries. Ugh. But besides that my week was great!

Karli - I'm so glad you got to do circle time!I agree-its really fun!

Best Experience~ I have started working on a presentation on ActivStudio. It is an interactive timeline that will be used as a review tool for the Cold War. I am really enjoying making it, and it will be really fun to teach!

Worst Experience~ There isn't one this week!!

This week i got to help out more in my class. My best experience was doing a review for the PASS test by myself. I learned that middle schoolers are easily bribed to pay attention and partcipate with jolly ranchers. The worst experience was the day they had to take a test and i had nothing to do

Ooh, that does not sound like much fun caroline. But i am sure you handled it fine lol
