ANDERSON UNIVERSITY!

The cadets spent the day at Anderson Unversity, our college partner. We toured the campus and learned about the Teaching Fellows Scholarship program. We had a wonderful lunch and some great entertainment by the AU gospel choir. The BEST part of the day involved the wonderful door prizes. Tonya and Daniel won a copy of the gospel choir's CD. CJ won a really beautiful hat and "Alisha" won a coffee mug (how appropriate) - she's our hero! We closed out a really fun day by posing in the "sits!"

BIG BOOK PUBLICATIONS

The cadets created big books to portray stories of studens and children overcoming barriers to education. Topis included poverty, immobility, death in the family, lack of athletic ability and homelessness. (Pictures to come soon!)

A Day with a Disability!

Cadets performed 6 different activities today to illustrate various disablities: hearing impairment, vision impairment, dyslexia, a physical impairment, and a speech impediment. They wrote a reflection on their experience, and learned to appreciate how students with disabilities function in school.
