Hey Everybody!
It's about 9:30, and I'm heading out. I was thinking about the first group of you all - just getting back to Mauldin - signing in ON TIME!! I can't wait to hear about some experiences! Don't forget to work hard on your barrier presentations while I'm gone. BTW - don't forget about professional articles. If you are interested, there is a great article this month in Edutopia about incorporating art and dance into the curriculum and how important that is. Bethany, Megan and Erin - I was really thinking of you all. Check it out on line at www.edutopia.org - october issue 2006.

Okay - I'll keep checking for comments. Have a great rest of the week!

Hey! Observing was awesome, but not near long enough. I had a great time with the kids--some didn't even seem disabled at all. I'll tell you all about it when you get back. Hope you're having fun. Also, what do we have to write about the articles, and how long should each be?

Hey Mrs. Turner!!!
Wow, observing was wonderful! I was a little apprehensive at first, but it was great! The kids were so sweet. I ran into some of my old teachers and even a few of my students from the stable! I can't wait to tell you all about it! By the way, I second Megan's question about the articles. How much are we supposed to write??
I hope you're having a good time at the conference. See you soon!

Hey Mrs. Turner! Observing was great! Even though I was almost late because of the traffic. I had a great time with the kids. They're really cute! Oh,one kid gave me two hugs and a kiss as we were about to leave. I'll tell you more when you get back. I hope you're enjoying the conference and the warm sunny beach.

Hey Mrs. Turner! WOW! Definitely LOVED being with little kids and didn't want to leave them. Is there any way that we could have an all day observation instead of just an hour? I really felt like the kids in there were just like regular kids. Some of them couldn't speak very well, and a couple had a little trouble controlling themselves, but overall, they were the sweetest and cutest kids I've ever seen. The classroom was like a regular kindergarten and first grade class room. It was very colorful, and also had a lot of toys and stuff. They get pennies for being good, and have to sit in the yellow chair and lose minutes of recess if they can't control themselves. Again, wow!

Wow what an amzing week! I finished wrting up my weekly log and I'll have to email t to you Mrs. Turner. Hope you're having fun!!
My observation was today, there were only 5 kids there and they were all so cute. The one girl had me watch while she put up her picture schedule because she wanted to show me what she could do. I was amazed at how patient Ms. Irick and the assisstans were with the children. I could never handle that job, I would flip out on somebody!! haha
Love to all my cadets!!
